Data and use
Your email address, temporary codes and session enable sign-in. Your short links, their destinations, status and click counter enable management and moderation. The counter does not store visitor identities. This processing is necessary to provide the service you request.
If you request it, we record your choice and its date to send one email announcing the sale of extra links. This processing is based on your consent. You may unsubscribe in the application; you keep your bonus link. The record of your choice is retained with the account.
If you load an image from a URL, its host receives your browser's request and may learn your IP address. Opening a short link takes you to the destination site, which applies its own privacy policy.
Retention
Your account and links are retained while the account exists. Deleting a link stops its redirects but retains its record, including its destination, to prevent reassignment and enforce creation limits. You may request erasure of your data by email. Any backups are overwritten within thirty days of effective deletion.
On your device
Your browser stores your session, language and theme to operate the application. You can clear this data in your browser or sign out on a shared device. QR code content is processed in your browser; a shared configuration URL may contain that content.
Hosting and security
Chapplications services are hosted by OVH SAS (2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France) in the European Union. The publisher and its hosting provider access the data needed to operate and secure the service.
Server requests may be recorded in technical logs (IP address, date and request) for security and diagnostics, based on the publisher's legitimate interest. These logs are retained for at most twelve months. They are not used for advertising or profiling.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion or portability of your data, restriction of processing or object to it under the conditions set out in the GDPR. Write to contact@chapplications.com. Proof of identity may be requested if there is reasonable doubt. We normally respond within one month; a complex request may require an extension, which we will explain.
You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL. Reading this policy does not constitute consent to optional processing.
