These terms of use govern the use of the Links application (links.chapplications.com) and of the short links it creates (c-h.app/l/…). Signing in to Links means accepting these terms.
Article 1 - Publisher
Links is published by Christophe Hurpeau EI (Chapplications), whose details are given in the legal notice:
Article 2 - Access and account
The QR code creator can be used without an account. Short links require an account, opened with a six-digit code sent to your email address, without a password. The account is created when you first request a code.
Every account holds one short link for free. A second free link is added to an account that asks to be told by email when extra links go on sale; it stays if the account unsubscribes later. The number of links that can be created per hour is limited, to prevent abuse.
Article 3 - Short links
- Each link gets a short address. Once given, a short address is never given to anyone else, even after the link is deleted.
- The owner can change the destination of an active link: a printed QR code pointing to the link follows the change.
- Each link has a click counter, without profiling visitors. No IP address, browser information or visit date is stored in this counter. Technical server logs are described in the privacy policy.
- A deleted link stops redirecting for good.
Article 4 - Prohibited uses
A short link must not redirect to content or a service:
- used for phishing, fraud or identity theft;
- spreading malware or exploiting a security flaw;
- that is unlawful, including content infringing the rights of others, child sexual abuse material, hate speech or incitement to violence;
- meant to send unsolicited messages (spam);
- intended to deceive visitors about its real destination, including through a chain of redirects.
Article 5 - Moderation
The Publisher may disable without notice a link that breaches Article 4 or is reported as such. A disabled link stops redirecting, cannot be edited or deleted by its owner and still counts among the account's links. Any refund request is reviewed in accordance with applicable statutory rights.
In case of serious or repeated breaches, the Publisher may delete the account concerned. To report an abusive link, write to the address given in the legal notice, with the address of the link.
Article 6 - Liability
You are responsible for the destinations you choose. The Publisher does not host the content of the sites the links point to. The Publisher’s liability remains subject to applicable law.
The Publisher makes reasonable efforts to keep the service available, without guaranteeing permanent availability. The service may be interrupted for maintenance or in case of an incident.
Article 7 - Account deletion
You may ask for the deletion of your account by email at any time. All its links then stop redirecting.
Article 8 - Changes to these terms
Updates to these terms are published on this page with their date. They do not override rights already acquired and remain subject to applicable law.
Article 9 - Governing law
These terms are governed by French law.
